The 9/11 Gallery Sponsored by Comcast explores the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, and the extraordinary challenges that journalists faced as they reported the news to a shocked and saddened world.
To mark the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the Newseum presented a screening of the documentary “Rebirth,” a film about the transformation of five people whose lives were forever altered on Sept. 11, 2001. The film, released in 2011, is the result of a decade-long project by director Jim Whitaker. “Rebirth” also chronicles the minute-by-minute evolution of the space where the Twin Towers once stood using multicamera time-lapse photography.
