For nearly 50 years, NBC’s Tom Brokaw has reported on the world’s most important and historic events. In a special evening program Oct. 30 at the Newseum, Brokaw will share stories from his storied career with an exclusive audience of Newseum members.
Among the historic events Brokaw covered as anchor of “NBC Nightly News” was the unexpected fall of the Berlin Wall on Nov. 9, 1989. Brokaw was the only broadcast network anchor on the scene to report live on the dismantling of the wall. This November marks the 25th anniversary of the fall of the wall.
