There are only two weeks left to take advantage of the Newseum’s Summer Fun Deal! Now through Sept. 4, 2017, kids 18 and younger get free admission to the Newseum.
With the purchase of at least one general adult ($24.95 plus tax) or senior ($19.95 plus tax) admission ticket, up to four kids get in for free (regular youth admission is $14.95 plus tax). And just like all Newseum tickets, Summer Fun Deal tickets are valid for two consecutive days, making it the perfect summer outing for the whole family. Tickets are available both at the museum ticket counter and online.
Exciting exhibits for the whole family include the NBC News Interactive Newsroom, where the Newseum is now featuring “Berlin Wall: The Virtual Reality Experience;” the News History Gallery, where you can see original newspaper front pages dating back from the 1500s; and “1967: Civil Rights at 50,” which tells the dramatic story of the struggle for racial justice in 1967. One of the museum’s most popular galleries is the moving Pulitzer Prize Photographs Gallery, featuring every Pulitzer Prize winner dating back to 1942, when the award was first presented. Children and adults alike will also love to pose for photos on the Hank Greenspun Terrace, with its sweeping views of Washington, meet presidential pups in “First Dogs: American Presidents and Their Pets,” and catch breaking news or an original Newseum production in the Smith Big Screen Theater.
