Exhibit Development Internship - Summer 2017

Job Type: Internship (Unpaid)

Location: Washington, DC


The Exhibit Development intern will research and update entries to databases in the Newseum, as well as help writing team research and produce exhibit content.

By the end of this internship, successful candidate will have received real-world experience in researching, writing and fact-checking exhibit content.


The successful applicant should:

  • Have an interest in current and historic First Amendment issues, and current world events involving press freedom and free expression.
  • Have skills researching and fact-checking both current and historical information.
  • Be able to write clearly, directly and with verve.
  • Be flexible and calm in a fast-changing environment.
  • Be able to express ideas clearly and confidently.
  • Work 20 hours per week - minimum.
