Kenneth A. Paulson

President and Chief Operating Officer

Executive director of the First Amendment Center and Senior Vice President of the Freedom Forum from 1997 to 2004. Trustee since 2004.

Paulson assumed the position of president and chief operating officer in February 2009. Previously, he served as editor of USA Today, the nation's top-selling newspaper, and USAToday.com, one of the leading news Web sites, for five years. Before he assumed that role, Paulson spent seven years leading the Freedom Forum's efforts to inform and educate Americans about their First Amendment freedoms. He was on the team of journalists who founded USA Today in 1982 before moving on to manage newsrooms in Westchester County, N.Y., Green Bay, Wis., Bridgewater, N.J. and at Florida Today in Brevard County, Florida.
