In East Berlin, the Soviet military publishes Tagliche Rundschaue, later renamed Neues Deutschland. Modeled after Pravda, the Soviet Party daily, Neues Deutschland is the daily voice of East Germany's ruling party, the Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands.
