Scottish
scientists clone two sheep -- Meg and Dolly -- from a mature adult.
It's the first time for such a genetic breakthrough. The results
spark controversy about the potential dangers of human cloning.
A team from the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh is the first to duplicate
the genetic code of an adult animal. Previously, sheep had been
cloned from the cells of embryos. Cloning adult animal cells was
thought impossible.
