If you forget your Press Pass card during a Newseum visit, simply present your driver’s license or other government-issued photo identification at the admission desk.
Press Pass is the name of the Newseum’s annual membership program that is available to all members of the public — not just members of the press.
No. Press Pass cards can be used only by the cardholder.
Members may purchase discounted tickets on-site on the day of the visit for guests accompanying them. The discount is $5 per ticket.
Press Pass memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
Yes. Press Pass cards expire when your membership expires.

Yes. Though several newspapers have moved the bulk of their news coverage online, they can continue to be part of the online exhibit.
The exhibit does not provide daily front pages from previous dates. We recommend that you contact the newspaper directly for information on obtaining back issues. We keep a front-page archive chronicling events of historical significance.

Newseum operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Setup for evening events can begin after closing at 5 p.m., and events may begin at 6:30 pm. Depending upon visitation on any given day, some pre-setup can begin earlier. All events must end by midnight, or later upon prior request. Please refer to event guidelines.
Yes. The Newseum sales team can provide this information based on the rental location.
No. Parking is not available at the Newseum. We are happy to recommend valet-parking services or public parking facilities within walking distance to the museum.
Yes. Some items, such as motor vehicles, require removal of doors for access into the Newseum. There is a $1,500 fee to remove and replace doors.
Thank you so much for your interest, however, given the training requirements, a short volunteering assignment is not feasible.
All applicants 18 or older must successfully complete criminal and credit background checks.
Unpaid internships are occasionally available in various Newseum departments. Check for internship openings.
There are two shifts every day: 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., or 12:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. (Weekday volunteers work one shift a week at a minimum and weekend volunteers work one shift every other weekend at a minimum.)
Your child needs to read the requirements of the program, and if interested, fill out the application. We will communicate with them directly during this process.

Yes, but we encourage you to discuss your plans with us in advance to ensure that your wishes may be carried out. The Newseum may decline a bequest that is too restrictive in nature or whose structure falls outside the purposes, bylaws or procedures of the Newseum.
