West Germans
transmitted personal and political messages over the wall
via radio, television, on billboards and sometimes by word
of mouth. East Germans sometimes were able to smuggle replies
to the West.
EXPLANATION:
The
Berlin Wall could not stop the flow of information. East Berliners
could receive some news from the West. However, it was more
difficult for West Berliners to get bits of information from
their friends and relatives living in the eastern region.
