In the Newseum’s hands-on laboratory and classroom, educators can select various learning experiences and pick the lessons that suit their students’ needs and interests. Learning Center classes meet national standards of learning and are taught by educators with experience in history and journalism.
The Newseum provides teachers with online lesson plans designed to engage students and enhance classroom learning. Teachers who book a visit may choose to take a free pre-visit orientation and meet with a Newseum educator to customize their field trip.
The Newseum offers interactive, experiential team-building activities for groups of all ages. Debate, role play and work together to explore history’s biggest headlines, the inner workings of a newspaper or the foundations of the five freedoms.
