“1966: Civil Rights at 50” Exhibit Closes @ Newseum, Level 4 | Washington | District of Columbia | United States

Today is your last chance to see this exhibit! “1966: Civil Rights at 50” explores the dramatic civil rights events of 1966, from the rise of the Black Power movement to the shooting of civil rights protester James Meredith while on his solitary “March Against Fear” to promote voter registration. The new display is part of an annual changing exhibit that explores the relationship between the news media and the civil rights movement of the 1960s.
