Former Secret Service agent Clint Hill talks about his new memoir, “Five Presidents: My Extraordinary Journey with Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, and Ford,” which chronicles an eventful career that witnessed history up close.
Co-written with award-winning journalist Lisa McCubbin, the book reflects on Hill’s 17 years protecting the most powerful office in the nation through an era that included the Cold War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam, Watergate and the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Robert F. Kennedy.
Hill, who was in the Secret Service from 1958 to 1975, was in the presidential motorcade in Dallas, Texas, when President Kennedy was assassinated. McCubbin has been a television news anchor and reporter and is a popular guest speaker. Together, they co-authored the best-selling books “Mrs. Kennedy and Me” and “Five Days in November.”
