The Newseum looks back at the life and career of Gwen Ifill, one of the most prominent journalists in the country, with a panel featuring her friends and colleagues.

Ifill, moderator and managing editor of PBS’s “Washington Week,” co-anchor of “PBS NewsHour”  and author of “The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama,” died Nov. 14, 2016, in Washington, D.C., at age 61.

Panelists are:

  • Kevin Merida, senior vice president at ESPN, editor-in-chief of “The Undefeated” and former managing editor of The Washington Post
  • Sonya Ross, race and ethnicity editor, Associated Press
  • Karen Tumulty, national political correspondent, The Washington Post
  • Pete Williams, justice correspondent, NBC News
