Photojournalist Ashley Gilbertson discusses his coverage of the Iraq war.

Joining Gilbertson will be Beverly and Rainer Bosselmann, parents of Marine Cpl. Kirk Bosselmann, who died in Fallujah, Iraq, in 2004, and is featured in the book, and Cpl. Christian Dominguez, who served with Bosselmann during the bloody Fallujah offensive. They will also discuss news coverage of the Iraq War and veterans affairs.

Ashley is the author of the new book “Bedrooms of the Fallen,” and he spent the years between 2002 and 2009 working in Iraq for The New York Times.

“Bedrooms of the Fallen” features a collection of photographs depicting the intact bedrooms of service members who died in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some of the photographs were originally published in a New York Times Magazine feature, for which Gilbertson won the National Magazine Award for documentary photography.

Gilbertson will sign copies of his book following the program.
