On the opening weekend of the Newseum’s newly updated exhibit, “Inside Today’s FBI: Fighting Crime in the Age of Terror,” former FBI deputy director Timothy P. Murphy and journalist Garrett Graff talk about how the agency is taking on a new generation of international terrorists.
Murphy, vice president of MacAndrews & Forbes Incorporated, spent 23 years with the FBI, retiring as deputy director in 2011. Graff is the author of “The Threat Matrix: The FBI at War in the Age of Global Terror,” a book published in 2011 that highlights the FBI’s attempt to protect America and how agents taught themselves to confront unprecedented threats.
“Inside Today’s FBI” is one of the Newseum’s most popular exhibits and goes behind the scenes to explore how crime and crime-fighting have evolved in the post-9/11 age.
A book signing will follow the program.
