Inside Media: Elle Reeve and Tracy Jarrett of ‘VICE News Tonight’ @ Knight TV Studio | Washington | District of Columbia | United States

“VICE News Tonight” correspondent Elle Reeve and producer Tracy Jarrett talk about their coverage of the August 2017 “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Va.

On Aug. 12, hundreds of white nationalists and neo-Nazis gathered for a rally to protest the planned removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee. By day’s end, three people were dead — one counter protester and two police officers killed in a helicopter crash — and many more injured.

Reeve and Jarrett went behind the scenes with white nationalist leaders as well as counter protesters. “VICE New Tonight” also spoke with Charlottesville residents, members of the Black Lives Matter movement and the Charlottesville police.

Reeve anchored the 22-minute documentary “Charlottesville: Race and Terror,” which aired on HBO’s “VICE News Tonight.”
