Newseum On the Scene: New York

Members at the Supporter Level of the Friends of the First Amendment Society are invited to participate in the inaugural event of a new “On the Scene” series that will explore issues related to media and the First Amendment outside the walls of the Newseum.

Participants will have an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Hearst Tower, Hearst Corporation’s global headquarters in midtown Manhattan. The 44-story landmark was designed by Norman Foster and is considered one of the gems of the New York City skyline. Following the tour and a luncheon hosted by a Newseum trustee, guests will be transported to the historic home and studio of Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, the photographer and artistic visionary behind the Newseum’s newest exhibit “The Boomer List: Photographs by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders.” Mr. Greenfield-Sanders will lead the tour of his personal art collection and photography studio, and share insight into his artistic process.
