Nikon Photography Day at the Newseum @ Knight TV Studio | Washington | District of Columbia | United States

In partnership with Nikon, the Newseum presents a day of programs and activities celebrating Nikon’s centennial and the power of photography.

Over the past 100 years, Nikon has become a world leader in imaging, helping to record history’s milestones and life’s most important events.

Throughout the day, visitors will have an opportunity to explore the latest Nikon products as well as experience the latest in virtual reality technology.

  • 11:30 a.m. – Pulitzer Prize Photographs Gallery Talk

    Pulitzer Prize Photographer Carol Guzy
    The four-time Pulitzer Prize–winning photographer talks about her work on display in the Newseum’s Pulitzer Prize Photographs Gallery. Guzy will sign copies of poster reproductions of her photographs after the talk.

  • 1 p.m. – ‘An Ongoing Photographic Journey’

    Nikon Ambassador Photographer Joe McNally
    The world-renowned photographer takes the audience on an entertaining trip through his long and varied career and shares highs, lows and what is required of a photographer to remain viable in the world of branding, marketing and social media.

  • 3:00 p.m. – ‘Positive Change Can Happen’

    Pulitzer Prize Photographer Renée C. Byer
    Byer will speak on her internationally acclaimed book, “Living on a Dollar a Day: The Lives and Faces of the World’s Poor,” which illuminates the stories of people living on the brink of survival. Byer will sign copies of poster reproductions of her photographs after the talk.
