Join the Education team for our first ever Spring Newseum Teacher Open House to celebrate the launch of our newest EDCollection, Freedom in the Balance. Explore the issues of freedom vs. national security that have long existed in the United States, but that 9/11 brought to the fore of public life. The EDCollection’s primary sources, lesson plans, interactives and case studies help students identify and debate key issues in U.S. history, from the 1700s to today.
Learn about our resources for teaching 9/11 and First Amendment freedoms during a day filled with sample classes, gallery talks, workshops and resource materials to take home. Lunch will be provided.
Teachers who registered in advance will receive a USB drive filled with resources.
Advance registration is closed. Please register onsite in the Annenberg Theater Lobby on Level 1.
