JEWISH ACTIVISTS BYPASS JOURNALISTS

Spring 1943: A Jewish activist named Peter Bergson bypasses journalists and LAUNCHES A CAMPAIGN to outrage Americans about the Jewish plight. He takes out ads in major newspapers, including the New York Times to get his message out. By this time, the extent of Hitler’s war on the Jews is clear. Jews are now being deported from the ghettos for the primary purpose of execution. An estimated two million Jews have already been murdered.

What else does Peter Bergson do to stir up public attention about the fate of Europe’s Jews?
During the summer of 1943, the Bergson group stages an elaborate, pageant called "We Will Never Die." It features stars like Edward G. Robinson and plays in half-a-dozen cities where it draws more than one hundred thousand people.
