WORLD WAR II BEGINS

September 1939: The Nazi SS Security Chief declares that all Jews in Nazi-occupied Poland are to be concentrated in urban ghettos. The American press closely follows Hitler’s invasion of Poland as the beginning of his European conquest, which leads to his war against the Allies. Even as the war begins, the press already fails to recognize that Hitler is also waging a separate war against the Jews.
