When the Newseum first opened its doors on Pennsylvania Avenue April 11, 2008, Mark Pierzchala was the first visitor to walk through them. Since then, Pierzchala — whose door prize included a free annual Press Pass membership — has logged hundreds of frequent visitor hours. The Montgomery County, Md., resident has visited the Newseum every Friday since its grand opening.
