STEPHANOPOULOS, BEGALA AND MYERS REUNITE AT THE NEWSEUM TO RELIVE "WAR ROOM" DAYS OF CLINTON CAMPAIGN

Film Screening and Panel Discussion Kick-off Spring Series of Reel Journalism With Nick Clooney

WHAT:

"The War Room," a documentary released in 1993, takes a behind-the-scenes look into the Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign. Host Nick Clooney will lead a discussion about the love-hate relationship between candidates and the press with George Stephanopoulos, a former Clinton aide and now host of ABC’s "This Week"; Paul Begala, CNN political contributor; and Dee Dee Myers, President Clinton’s former press secretary. The panelists will draw from first-hand experiences and talk about life inside a political campaign.

Reel Journalism is presented by the Newseum and American University’s School of Communication as part of an effort to use films about journalism to encourage discussion about the critical role and responsibilities of a free press in a democratic society. Proceeds from Reel Journalism support the mission and education programs of the Newseum.
