Honoring Fallen Journalists

Honoring Fallen Journalists

Journalists Memorial Ads

In 2012, 84 journalists in 25 countries died while covering the news. On May 13, 2013, these journalists will be honored in a ceremony at the Newseum Journalists Memorial, which bears the names of 2,246 people who have died reporting the news since 1837.

The Newseum is leading a public awareness campaign in their honor and is encouraging newspapers, blogs and other publications to download and publish one of the ads provided at the links below on or around Monday, May 13.

Custom sizes are available but must be requested by Wednesday, May 8, in time for a Friday, May 10, delivery. To request a custom ad, please send your size specifications to marketing@newseum.org.

We will recognize participating media outlets on newseum.org with a link to each organization. Please let us know that your publication will be participating by writing to marketing@newseum.org so we can include you.

We are grateful to the following organizations for participating in the campaign by publishing one of the free PSA ads on or around May 13.
