Disappeared Oct. 1 at age 28. He was a news reporter for the TV station in La Plata; the circumstances and details of his death are unknown. During the military regime of 1976 to 1983, thousands of Argentines, including journalists, were imprisoned, tortured and killed without trial. Many have never been found; they are called “the disappeared ones.”
