Killed Nov. 5 when armed men attacked the convoy of Adamawa state governor Haruna Bonnie. Boyi was covering the governor’s travel from the state capital, Yola, to the town of Bauchi when the gunmen opened fire on the convoy. He was killed in the cross-fire when the governor’s security guards returned fire.
