The cameraman for the television news agency Asian News International was paralyzed from the waist down after being shot while filming a battle between Islamic guerrillas and Indian security guards at the Parliament building in New Delhi in 2001. On Jan. 9, 2003, he fell from his wheelchair and suffered fatal injuries. He was 28, married and had one child.
