The editor of three newspapers -- Al-Mizan, Al-Khaima, and Al-Hayat Al-Gadida -- in the northern city of Kirkuk was killed in a grenade attack on his car in that city. The journalist, who also was known as Samir Abdul Amir al-Nuaimi, was killed instantly.
