A reporter for the Albanian-language daily Bota Sot, he also wrote editorials, some of which apparently led to threats against his life, according to a report filed the month before he was killed. He was shot in the head on June 3 in a drive-by shooting on a road outside Pristina, capital of Kosovo, which is a province of Serbia. He died three weeks later in a hospital in Italy. He was 28.
