Yousuf, an ABC News soundman, and ABC cameraman Alaa Uldeen Aziz were on the way home from the Baghdad bureau when their car was stopped by gunmen who forced them from their vehicle. Their deaths were confirmed the next morning. ABC News Baghdad correspondent Terry McCarthy referred to them as “our eyes and ears in Iraq.” Yousuf, 26, was planning to be married soon.
