The producer for the private satellite television channel Nahrain was kidnapped when he left work. His body was thrown on a pile of garbage that night and was identified at a hospital morgue two days later. He had been tortured and had several gunshot wounds in his head. He was about 30 and is survived by his wife, who was pregnant at the time, and three children.
