Aguilar, a radio broadcaster, was gunned down in his house by a killer who posed as a deliveryman, saying he had a package of photos. The veteran broadcaster was known for criticizing local corruption and the alleged links between politicians and paramilitary groups. In addition to his work for Radio Super, Aguilar hosted a daily news broadcast on the community radio station Bolivar Estereo in southwestern Cauca province. He was 72.
