Antuna had written a story about corruption in the Durango city police department a week before he was abducted. His car was blocked by other vehicles and armed men dragged him from the car, local reports said. His body was found soon after, with a note that said, "This happened to me for giving information to soldiers and for writing too much." Antuna had been shot at and had received death threats. He was 39.
