Amin was one of three journalists who were killed in a suicide blast while covering a graduation ceremony at Benadir University. The bombing took place in a hotel in the government-controlled section of the capital city of Mogadishu. The bomber, who breached security by dressing as a woman, set off a blast that killed 23 people who were attending the ceremony.
