Arif, a television cameraman, was killed by a suicide bomber while covering a demonstration at a Quetta hospital. People had gathered to protest the assassination of a local Shiite bank manager, who had been taken to the hospital emergency ward. The blast killed eight people and wounded five other journalists covering the story.
