Absuge, a reporter for Radio Maanta, was shot in the head near a school in Mogadishu by unknown gunmen who fled the scene. Al-Shabab, a militant insurgent group, claimed responsibility for the shooting, saying Absuge was “a spy against Allah’s forces.”
