Shot by North Vietnamese troops on July 21 during the siege of Quang Tri. He, ABC soundman Sam Kai Faye and South Vietnamese army combat photographer Tran Van Nghia left their jeep near Mychanh and walked 100 yards off the road, not realizing they were so close to the fighting. A native of Singapore, he was 36.
