Killed Jan. 21 with ABC correspondent Joe Spencer when their chartered helicopter crashed in a cornfield near Ellendale during a pre-dawn flight in heavy fog. He was a Chicago-based producer flying to Austin, Minn., to cover a meatpackers' strike against the Hormel company. He was 30.
