Electrocuted Feb. 22 in Alexandria while covering the U.S. District Court arraignment of spy Aldrich Ames. Battle, 37, was sitting in the doorway of his crew's broadcast van when he began to raise the van's 40-foot-high aluminum antenna. The antenna struck a power line, sending a jolt of electricity through the van and Battle, who was set on fire. He was a cameraman and had worked in TV news for 13 years.
