Honoring MLK

By John Powell

On Monday, people of all colors and creeds gathered across the country to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Today’s front pages show that King’s dream is still alive, with marches, celebrations and acts of service. The Montgomery Advertiser features a photo of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, where King helped organize the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott that launched the civil rights movement.
