The Newseum is conveniently located between the U.S. Capitol and the White House on historic Pennsylvania Ave. We’re just one block from the National Mall and, since we open an hour earlier than the Smithsonian museums, the Newseum is a great place to begin your day in Washington, D.C.

The Newseum offers safe and affordable parking inside our building at 555 Pennsylvania Ave.
Open 7 a.m. – 11 p.m., Mon. – Sat. and 9 a.m. – 11 p.m. on Sun., rates are $10 for the first hour and $20 for over one hour, up to a full day. All day on weekends there will be a flat rate of $15. Entrance to the Newseum parking garage is on C Street.
Metro is a quick, easy and efficient way to travel when you are in Washington, D.C., and the Newseum is close to several access points. Two are within walking distance of the museum:

Capital Bikeshare puts more than 1,600 bicycles at your fingertips. You can choose any of the 175 stations across Washington, D.C., Arlington, Va., and Alexandria, Va., and return it to any station near your destination.
