Harold Evans

"War Stories" guest curator Harold Evans is an internationally acclaimed editor and author. He started his journalism career at age 16 with a weekly newspaper in his native England and later spent 15 years editing London's Sunday Times and The Times.

He has been a senior executive for Random House and the editorial director of a publications group that included U.S. News & World Report, the New York Daily News and The Atlantic Monthly. Evans, author of "The American Century," is currently working on two books.
