Bernard Shaw is Latin America bureau chief for ABC News in 1979. While covering the conflict in Nicaragua, he travels to Panama for an interview. His replacement in Nicaragua, Bill Stewart, is murdered by a national guardsman. Shaw joins CNN in 1980 as an anchor. In 1991, he reports from Baghdad at the start of the Persian Gulf War. |
