In World War II, Frank Bolden of the The Pittsburgh Courier is one of the first two African-American reporters credentialed by the War Department to cover the conflict. In 1943, he interviews Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt at the Tehran Conference. He also covers the "Buffalo Solders" (92nd Infantry Division) and the "Tuskegee Airmen" (322nd Fighter Group). |
