In 1987, Donatella Lorch begins her journalism career as a New York Times stringer in Afghanistan. As a Times staff reporter, she covers the Persian Gulf War from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and U.S.-occupied Iraq. Lorch reports on the civil wars in Sudan and Somalia, and genocide in Rwanda. Joining NBC News in 1996, she covers the war in Kosovo. Lorch now writes for Newsweek. |
