Kelly Smith Tunney joins The Associated Press in 1962 and serves in more than a dozen news bureaus in the United States, Europe and Asia. In 1967, she spends nearly two months covering the Vietnam War. Tunney is now the director of corporate communications and assistant to the president of The Associated Press.
