Morley Safer joins CBS News' London bureau in 1964 after producing and reporting for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. In 1965, he opens CBS News' Saigon bureau. Safer's 1965 report showing U.S. Marines burning the village of Cam Ne helps change America's view of the war. He becomes a correspondent on "60 Minutes" in 1970. |
