Celebrate Chinese New Year with a host of events and a special tasting menu at The Source, Wolfgang Puck’s fine dining restaurant adjacent to the Newseum.
Wednesday, Feb. 18, 6 to 7 p.m.
Executive chef Scott Drewno gives a hands-on lesson in several traditional Chinese New Year dishes, including a dumpling tutorial.

Chef Chang and Chef Drewno will offer guests a range of Chinese specialties to ring in the New Year. Atlas Brew Works will also be taking over the taps offering their Rowdy American Rye Ale as well as the District Common.
Thursday, Feb. 19
On the first official night of the Chinese New Year, the dining room at The Source will be transformed to replicate the atmosphere of a Chinese street food market. Five live action stations will be set up around the dining room serving traditional dishes symbolizing longevity, peace, and wisdom. Guests will enjoy a special menu designed for the evening, with the first course inviting guests to peruse the “stalls” for food.
Friday, Feb. 20 through Friday, Feb. 27
Experience a special tasting menu created by The Source’s executive chef, Scott Drewno. The tasting menu celebrates the Year of the Sheep as it pays tribute to those who are tender, polite and clever. This menu will be offered in addition to the normal a la carte menu every night.
