The Newseum launches its annual Summer Fun Deal on July 1, but tickets are available online starting today! The Summer Fun Deal offers kids 18 and younger free admission to the interactive museum of news July 1 through Sept. 7, 2015.
With the purchase of at least one general adult ($22.95 plus tax) or senior ($18.95 plus tax) admission, up to four kids get in for free (regular youth admission is $13.95 plus tax). And just like all Newseum tickets, Summer Fun Deal tickets are valid for two consecutive days, making it the perfect summer outing for the whole family.
Special exhibits at the Newseum this summer include “President Lincoln Is Dead: The New York Herald Reports the Assassination,” an unparalleled collection of all seven editions issued by the Herald from April 15, 1865 that chronicle the shooting of Abraham Lincoln at Ford’s Theatre, his death, the hunt for his assassin and the swearing-in of the new president. Opening May 22, “Reporting Vietnam,” a provocative new exhibit marking the 50th anniversary of the America’s first televised war, explores the dramatic stories of how journalists brought news about the Vietnam War to a divided nation.
