Free Admission for Service Members During Veterans Day Weekend

Veterans at the Newseum

Active duty and retired members of the military will receive free admission to the Newseum from Nov. 9 through Nov. 11.

As the country reflects upon the heroism, courage and sacrifice of its military service members, the Newseum once again offers free admission to veterans and active duty members of the U.S. military plus one guest. This promotion begins Saturday, Nov. 9 and continues throughout Veterans Day weekend, including Monday, Nov. 11.

Veterans and their guests will have the opportunity to experience the museum before it closes at the end of the year. Our latest exhibit, “Seriously Funny: From the Desk of ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,’” highlights the power of political satire — a form of free speech protected under the First Amendment — and comedy’s influence on the news. Other popular Newseum attractions include the Pulitzer Prize Photographs Gallery, the News Corporation News History Gallery, “Inside Today’s FBI” and the Berlin Wall Gallery.

To take advantage of this offer, service members must present military ID, another form of military service credential or wear their uniforms.
